George Giannukos | Co-Founder

Chris Thompson | Co-Founder
George oversees the firm’s strategic vision, deal sourcing, capital allocation, and investment activities. He has 16 years of experience in deal structuring, investment analysis, valuation and the capital markets having worked at various private equity and hedge funds. With 11 years of real-estate experience, George has developed, acquired or brokered residential new-build homes, shopping centers, apartments, hotel, land, and industrial warehouses in excess of $200 million. His investment activities span from several real estate ventures to private equity transactions in operating companies. George is a co-founder of HG Capital and Accent Sign & Awning Company as well as co-owner of Zip Line. George began his professional career at CrossCap Management, a hedge fund, in Houston and continued at Guggenheim Partners in New York City, The Gores Group in Los Angeles, and Sasco Investments in Houston. George holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M in College Station. He has his Series 65 license and is a licensed real-estate broker in Texas.
Chris is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations as well as all financial functions of the business including accounting, financial planning, tax, and corporate strategy. He is committed to deploying sound financial practices that maximize long-term value for all stakeholders and promote business growth and continuity. In his more than 25 years of experience in global tax, accounting, and financial planning functions, Chris has established a reputation for building best-in-class teams and solutions that reduce overall tax expense and inefficiencies and achieve business growth. Chris was the Global Tax Manager for the Reservoir and Infrastructure Group at Schlumberger, leading global tax operations and planning initiatives for the more than $8 billion business in over 100 countries worldwide. He held similar leadership positions as Director of International Tax at Cameron International and Cooper Industries prior to this role. Before these positions, Chris became a CPA in 1996 and started his career in International Tax Consulting with Ernst & Young, LLP, advising many of the largest corporations in the world including General Motors, Ford, Caterpillar, Wal-Mart, and others.
