George is a co-founder of HG Capital and Accent Sign & Awning Company as well as co-owner of Zip Line. George began his professional career at CrossCap Management, a hedge fund, in Houston and continued at Guggenheim Partners in New York City, The Gores Group in Los Angeles, and Sasco Investments in Houston. George holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M in College Station. In his more than 25 years of experience in global tax, accounting, and financial planning functions, Chris has established a reputation for building best-in-class teams and solutions that reduce overall tax expense and inefficiencies and achieve business growth. Chris was the Global Tax Manager for the Reservoir and Infrastructure Group at Schlumberger, leading global tax operations and planning initiatives for the more than $8 billion business in over 100 countries worldwide. He held similar leadership positions as Director of International Tax at Cameron International and Cooper Industries prior to this role.
